  The interior designer is to be warmly congratulated even if, to my zen taste...the decor was a bit overpowering. Charoula in the breakfast room and Angelos at the desk are very efficient and accommodating. That there are no balconies IS quite a problem for smokers. On the whole, it is a FINE hotel with well-appointed comfortable rooms. Something still puzzles me tho' - don't the staff know that they're supposed to SMILE? I got there at 9.30 one rainy evening a fortnight ago and the lady receptionist who I had to wait for to show up at the desk.....made me feel like I was an intruder. Even Charoula and Angelos struck me as 'feeling at a loss' when I first spoke to them...in Greek too. I urge the Manager to look into this 'shortcoming' of the staff as it really IS a commendable hotel.

  Expensive(for a young man) but okay! It's worth it! Nice place and beautiful city.
