This hotel is ideal for visiting Athens. It exceeded my expectations in every way. Before going there, I had been concerned about several things, including how easy it would be to walk to the Acropolis and other sites, the apparently busy street the hotel is on, and the park across the street. When I got there, I found that all of these concerns were unnecessary. Here are the highlights: 1. It is easy to walk everywhere from the Amalia. In ten to 15 minutes one can be at some of the ancient sites or in the bustling, elegant shopping areas and restaurant areas. Anyone who likes walking can easily walk to the Acropolis (though the final hill up the Acropolis is a steep walk and seems steeper if the sun is high - but that is true wherever your walk begins). 2. The street is busy, but not as busy as it appears on Google Streetview. In fact, it is a really wonderful street, because the hotel is about a hundred yards from the Parliament building, with its famous Changing of the Guards at the tomb of the unknown soldier. Further past the Parliament are most of the art museums. In the other direction, about 200 yards down the street from the hotel, is the magnificent Temple of Zeus ruin, which in ancient times was the largest temple in the Greek world. 3. The park across the street from the hotel, which stretches between the Parliament and the Temple of Zeus, is beautiful and lovely to walk through. The hotel itself has very good rooms, helpful and responsive staff, and beautiful views from the rooftop terrace. We would definitely stay there again if we go to Athens. And we recommend it strongly to our friends.

Lovely hotel looks like it is for older people. Can here with a group tour. Breakfast was great. Only thing is the pool closes at 8. That's too early.

Definitely a 5 star. Centrally located..can walk to most attractions. Comfortable room, included balcony, slippers, bath robe. Small clean exercise room (most tourists won't need it). THE BEST OPEN BREAKFAST INCLUDED WITH SO MANY ITEMS TO CHOOSE FROM.

Had an amazing time spent at Amalia Hotel with my husband during our anniversary celebration. We were offered an upgraded room upon the arrival with the balcony and a city view. The room was clean and the bad was very comfortable with very clean sheets. The breakfast was amazing with a lot of variations and most of all I liked the β˜•οΈGreek Coffee prepared on hot sand πŸ‘ŒπŸ»β˜πŸ». The staff was extremely friendly, we booked a Day trip to 3 islands through the hotel, which was very fun and interesting! Will definitely stay there again and recommend it to all my friends πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

This is one very good hotel in a very very good location just a few steps away from Syntagma square. Apparently the hotel is quite famous and when I mentioned to one of my Greek friends it immediately struck a chord. My room had a nice view to the botanical gardens of Athens, to the parliament and to the Lycabettus hill. The rooms are modernly designed and very clean. It had very comfortable beds. They could improve a bit on the sound proofing of the room though. The breakfast was very good with a lot of choice variety. Overall a great hotel.
