  This hotel claims to be a 5-star hotel but is in reality a 2-star hotel at best. Located in Piraeus, which is a 50-70€ taxi ride from the Athens International Airport, Theoxenia is very old and has clearly seen better days. Our room had at least one very healthy fly, the closet doors were stained yellow, wallpaper throughout the room was peeling, and you could feel every spring in the bed. I do have to say the hotel staff were very nice. The two people we interacted with at the front desk were helpful and friendly. They were the only positive part of our experience at Theoxenia. We only stayed one night. Had we been planning to stay longer, we absolutely would have cut our reservation short and stayed elsewhere. We also stayed at the Andromeda Suites in Downtown Athens and at the Hotel Palmyra Beach in Glyfada, both of which were far superior to the Theoxenia.   Lovely hotel, beautiful spacious rooms with high quality furniture. We were very happy for staying in this hotel for 7 days to visit Athens. As didn’t want to stay in the busy old town, so booked this hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Car parked on the street of front hotel had was no problem at all. It’s safer parking in this area than parking in Athens city centre. As our rented car window was broken by thief in Athens. Will definitely stay here again when come back to Athens.

  Frühstück ist sehr schwach. Für ein 5-Sterne Hotel könnte sich das Personal mehr Kreativität zum Buffet beitragen. 4 Tage lang gab es 90% das Selbe. Die Zimmer sind gut, aber draußen ist es laut.

  Standard 3 Sterne Hotel mit sehr teuren Preisen an der Bar. Frühstück ist Standard. Sauberkeit in Ordnung. Bei mir ging leider die Dusche nicht und ein Fenster schloss nicht wirklich was natürlich Nachts dem Schlaf abträglich war.
