I am permanent Resident in Greece and married to Greek citizen for the past 12 years. My nationality is Iranian. I applied my 1st tourist visa for 1year multiple entry and after 2 weeks they approved it and they only gave me 1 entry period of 1 month. I have many visas in my passport including Japanese multiple, Chinese Multiple, Brazilian Multie and USA and etc. This visa did not work for me since our company is working with Indian company in India they asked me to be there for business meeting so i provided all the paperworks for bussines visa and still they told me they are missing more details like date of my entry and some other non necessary things like that. Anyway I asked them after i bring you what will happen they said you pay the fee but we are not sure if you will get the visa or not. I guess they are having issues with Iranian government and they just try to blame on iranian nationals and ordinary people like me who live abroad. I told her no otherembassy would get approval from Iran since i am resident for many years here but she was ignorance and reapiting herself. Last time i also paid full amount for visa and the counselor has promised me face to face that next time he will approve my multie one year visa. I did not like the fact that they treated me this way and they just lied to send me fly the kite. I told the lady who was looking at my papers that i will escalate this issue in public and she was also advising to write the letter inside the embassy as complain but complain letter to me makes no sense since they are aware of their mistake on my visa issue and if they were helpful they would just proceed with my documents and talk to the counselor / Ambassador. the fact that They will not say if they will give me long term visa or not it makes me to double think of going there and pau almost 265 euro again or i apply in other country where I am having my second residency!

I am an exchange student in Switzerland and I was travelling to Greece for tourism. My bag was stolen at 9am and I reached the Indian embassy at around 10.30am after getting an FIR. The embassy not only helped me to their best possible way but guided me on next steps. Special gratitude to Mr. Pandey. He issued me a handwritten passport in 2 hours so I could take my 3pm flight to Santorini same day. I did not have cash to pay so they proceeded with my application till my friend went to the ATM and got the fees in cash. I cannot thank them enough for their help. Mr. Pandey also gave me his personal contact number to contact him if any airport official stops me from going back to India. Special thanks to Indian embassy in Athens and Mr. Pandey. Thank you.

Happy, pleased and have praise for all the hardworking team at embassy. my wife lost her passport at Athens, and we were so scared that what will happen now and what should we do next, however to our help we contacted local Police station wherein we were informed to reach embassy for help. Mr. Naveen , Mr. Pandey, Mrs Seema you all are true saviour. they were so kind, helpful and looking at how scared we were tried to comfort us with best possible means. not only this they took a special effort by stretching extra hours and working longer then usual to help me get an emergency certificate as i had a flight next day. I reached their during their non visiting hours as i had no option to wait and to my surprise they welcomed me and did whatever they could to make my travel back home easy. hats off to you guys. may god bless you.

I cannot thank the staff enough for helping me. I lost my passport and was refused boarding at the airport by Easy Jet even when i had a UK resident permit! Scared and worried i went straight to the embassy. The Embassy was closed that day but the clerks ( who were off duty) were emphatic and tried to help me. They said they would inform the right person and to come early the next day. Later that evening my phone rang and a very concerned officer asked me my whereabouts and wether i was okay . ( I am 6 months pregnant by the way!) I told him I was safe in a hotel not completely destitute , he asked me to return the next day and he and the staff will help me as much as they could. He was genuinely concerned and a nice man. The next morning i went everyone seemed to know about my situation and were very kind to me. I was interviewed by Mr Pandey , ( the same officer who rang me). He is an Angel!! We sailed through the paper work smoothly , he introduced me to some of the staff and they were so helpful and kind. I didnt have to queue for long. They even got the police report translated for me when the greek office said itd take them a week! And so it took them just 3 days to issue me an Emergency Travel certificate !! I almost wept with joy and relief! Puts my faith back into govt. officials!! Thank you so much everyone . May god bless you!

(@HARJIT SINGH, What happend? Didn't he give any free services?) I've been to the Embassy 2-3 times. I found them nice and polite also the guy at the counter. I live near thessaloniki and they gave the certificate at 12'o clock. I had to give them the bus ticket showing that i came from Thessaloniki. Hall is small. One T.V with Indian songs inside the hall would be nice. Time pass while waiting for your turn ;-)
