  I've been visiting this restaurant for 9 years in a row and since discovering it, I have visited the other Michelin starred restaurants in Athens, and after many years, Spondi Athens supercedes for me all the other Michelin starred restaurants the tasting menus are Devine, and I love that the chef is creative and never uses the same ingredients or common ingredients in any of the reoccurring plates, which most other Michelin restaurants do, I think each and every plate should be unique and individual which Spondi always creates. The staff are impeccable and the team is one, and many of the staff over the years are the same which shows there dedication to the industry, I highly recommend this restaurant hands down, for what you pay the value is immense considering other Michelin restaurants around the world. Book in advance so you won't be disappointed.

  1. Food was excellent, and the portion size was decent, unlike the morsels at Funky Gourmet. 2. Service, on the other hand, wasn’t as good as Funky Gourmet. Unlike at Funky Gourmet, there was no one to escort us with an umbrella to/from the taxi when we arrived in the rain. 3. The sommelier seemed so disappointed and stunned that we wouldn’t choose wine pairing that he made no effort to suggest any wines by the glass.

  The best restaurant in Athens! Prepare for an experience you will remember for a long time. Perfect place with low light, clean atmosphere, soft music, no loud noises and a well-trained staff. The food is just amazing and the overall experience justifies its prices. Hint: try the "Discovery Menu with the 6 glasses of International wines & spirit". :)

  Spondi was absolutely one of the best meals of my life. If you are passionate about food and have a refined palate you are in for a treat. Whatever they give you just eat it. Every element of every dish will be perfect. If a dish has a carrot, it will be the best carrot you have ever had. Every dish you eat will be so good that you will be completely convinced that the dish you just finished has to the best, because it just doesn't seem possible for food to get any better, until they send you the next one and the whole cycle starts again. If I travel to Athens again I won't go to the Acropolis but I will without a doubt go back to Spondi.
